C.K. Chatterton - Self-Portrait

Clarence Kerr Chatterton was born in Newburgh, New York on September 19, 1880. He was the son of Charles L. Chatterton and Julia Lendrum. For information about Chatterton's genealogy visit Ancestry.com.

Chatterton became a seminal figure in 20th Century realism and enjoyed a long and illustrious career. He was a contemporary of a number of America's most accomplished and recognized artists, many of whom became his life-long friends.

Chatterton died in 1973 at the age of 93. He lives on through his works which are displayed in museums, galleries, and private collections throughout the world.
